Me too! That’s why I created my own spicy Sriracha from Ontario-grown habanero chilis and fresh garlic then remixed it with my Original Gochujang Korean Chili Sauce base. The resulting sauce is the best I’ve ever made, and I’m confident that it will be the most delicious and well-rounded sriracha you’ve ever tasted. Highly addictive!

I’m super lazy. And when there wasn’t an easy way to add the taste of Gochujang to my food I set out to make a condiment that would make my life easier. Initially created as a “Korean ketchup” my Original Gochujang Korean Chili Sauce has become my go-to shortcut for adding that spicy, funky, irresistible Korean flavour to just about anything. After 20 years in the corporate world and one very memorable experience on MasterChef Canada later, I’m here to share my unique take on Korean flavours with you!

Bad Korean is the company I started to showcase Asian flavours created by people like me, immigrant kids who grew up caught between cultures. I love the flavours of Korea and I want to introduce you to them, my way.

Sung’s Korean Chili Sauce is the first of many products I plan to make that break the rules of Korean cooking, in a good way.

Everybody loves gochujang - myself included. But you know what I don’t love? Wrestling with it every time I want to spice something up.

As a ketchup and BBQ sauce fan, I wanted a gochujang condiment I could easily pour on anything, at the ready in my fridge.

By mixing gochujang with soy sauce, sesame oil, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, and tomato paste, I created an easy to use gochujang chili sauce that’s also the biggest umami bomb I’ve ever tasted.
